Carol S. Shapiro, MD, MBA, FACS, FACPE, is a 1965-graduate of The Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Her postgraduate training includes her internship served at Philadelphia General Hospital (1965-1966), as well as her general and plastic surgery residencies performed at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (1966-1969, 1969-1972). Dr. Shapiro completed an MBA degree at George Mason University. She attained board certification in plastic surgery with the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and Fellow of the American College of Physician Executives (FACPE). She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the National Capital Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Prince William County Medical Society, the Medical Society of Virginia, and the Virginia Society of Plastic Surgeons.
